Established in 1997, our group has successfully built over 100km of trail in the South Whiteshell Provincial Park, Treaty 3, traditional lands of the Anishinabewaki, Métis and Očeti Šakówiŋ (Sioux) people.

We are a charitable not-for-profit board of directors who volunteers to strategically plan for, fundraise for, build and maintain the trails in this region. We hold strong value in our partnerships with the following organizations to help do what we do:

  • Manitoba Parks

  • Trails Manitoba

  • Trans Canada Trail Association

Our board of directors is made up of local residents, cottagers, business owners and park enthusiasts. All of us are passionate about trails!

Mission

SWTA's mission is to create and enhance the opportunities for human-powered recreation in the South Whiteshell through the building and maintenance of trails. In this effort, SWTA also strives to build community.
